COURSE SUMMARY: This course has a full-length curriculum, covering all sections of the ACT (English, Math, Reading, and Science) in sufficient depth to foster understanding and mastery. In completing this course, students will develop the critical thinking skills that will be crucial on test day. In addition, students will complete over 1,000 questions and, more importantly, understand how those questions are efficiently solved. Students will also complete multiple full-length ACTs and subject tests to check mastery.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Patrick Jennewein, founder of REWIRE (www.rewirestl.org), has been recognized in the St. Louis community as offering a premier and unique ACT regimen that focuses on students’ in-depth thought processes. He formed a partnership with UMSL in 2017 to design and teach the ACT preparation curriculum at the UMSL Bridge Program, one of the largest pre-collegiate programs in the United States. At UMSL, he organized over 100 ACT workshops and helped over 5,000 students achieve greater college admissions outcomes. In 2018, he was invited by the HBCU Alumni Association of St. Louis to speak at its semi-annual scholarship fair and in 2019 was invited by ACT to speak at its annual conference. In addition to partnering with Nerinx, he has formed partnerships with De Smet Jesuit High School, Incarnate Word Academy, Christian Brothers College High School, Trinity Catholic High School, Rosati-Kain, and numerous non-profits in the area.
